Below is the tentative schedule for the two-day event.

Saturday times are subject to change, as the timing of the the Flyboard demos and Legacy On The Lake Ski Shows need to stick to the times noted below.

FRIDAY, MARCH 28

  • This invite-only wakeboard showdown strips things down to the essentials—just raw talent, style, and creativity behind the boat. With a minimal wake setup, riders will have to rely on pure skill and flow to impress the judges and take home top honors.

SATURDAY, MARCH 29

  • The Groveland Wakeskate Scrimmage is a high-stakes, one-round super final where wakeskaters get four attempts at the best three-trick line. 

  • Catch a glimpse of what’s to come in the evening’s finale!

  • A nod to the classic barefoot lap endurance contest, the Great Groveland Barefoot Laps Challenge is a test to see who can barefoot the longest around Lake David. The twist: after the second full lap, the boat will decrease speed by 2 mph and continue to decrease speed by 2 mph on every lap until the skier falls.  

  • Catch a glimpse of what’s to come in the evening’s finale!

  • The Lake County Junior Flight Jump Invitational showcases the next generation of water sports talent with up to eight junior-level athletes competing in a long-distance jump competition. These young jumpers will push their limits, soaring across the water in a thrilling test of skill, speed, and distance. 

  • The Legacy on the Lake Ski Show brings high-energy waterski action to Lake David, celebrating Groveland’s deep-rooted watersports history. Featuring a mix of thrilling stunts, classic ski show acts, and high-flying performances, this mini showcase highlights the talent and tradition that have made the area a hub for water sports legends. 

  • The two longest runs of the day go head-to-head to crown the day’s champion.

  • The Lake David Launch: Freestyle Jump Invite is a high-flying, freestyle jump contest that pushes the limits of distance, style, and creativity off the ramp. With gravity-defying moves and explosive airtime, this showcase highlights the power and precision of freestyle waterski jumping. Expect big tricks, big air, and an unforgettable performance on Lake David!

  • The Legacy on the Lake Ski Show brings high-energy waterski action to Lake David, celebrating Groveland’s deep-rooted watersports history. Featuring a mix of thrilling stunts, classic ski show acts, and high-flying performances, this mini showcase highlights the talent and tradition that have made the area a hub for water sports legends. 

  • The grand finale of Founder’s Day features an unforgettable, high-energy LED flyboard show by Robby Allen. An acclaimed showman and extreme water stunts athlete, Robby combines his passion for water sports and entertainment to deliver a visually stunning and electrifying display that’s sure to leave the crowd in awe.
